Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

POSITION OBJECTIVE
Responsible for ensuring that preventive and breakdown duties of all electrical installations are executed in a manner that will promote rather than hinder business unit functionsrunning of machines/all plant equipments as pertained to their functional procedures.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure and supervise proper practice of all company safety rules and regulations when carrying out maintenance activities. The target must be to maximize safety of personnel and equipments
To maintain continuous inter-departmental communication in cooperation with other technicians of departments andestablish proper and open communication channels with your mates.
To perform Predictive,Preventive and Routine Maintenance of the following equipments:Turbines equipments, BOP Systems, Unit transformers, protective & safety equipments. All lighting systems i.e. turbine enclosure, security lights, administration office, and w/shop).
Plan effectively workprograms and procedures for breakdowns and preventive maintenance in order to restore affected equipments inthe shortest possible time paying highest attention to safety of bothpersonnel and equipments.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports on maintenance activities regarding the areas of your responsibilities.
To perform any other duties related for the company business as delegated to you by your Supervisor.

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
To ensure that preventive maintenance of all plants/equipment is being followed
and carried out as per schedules.
Keep maintenance records, equipment status updating and submit work reports after repairs or preventive maintenances.
Identify all faults/defects of the equipment and carry out repairs.
To advise mechanical engineer on matters regarding major repairs and overhaul of the plant and equipment.
Preparation of working drawings and specification of new works to be undertaken by Engineer.
To maintain all equipments and working tools under your jurisdiction.

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Diagnose malfunctioning system apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem

POSITION OBJECTIVE
Responsible for efficient and proper maintenance of gas turbine equipment and its auxiliaries at the Plant through operating, switching and maintenance programs.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Servicing and repairing power generation machines
Continuous checking of operating machines for preventive maintenance
Report any fault noted in the machines/engines/generators
Assist mechanical technicians in disassembling machines during overhaul/maintenance
To ensure company security and safety regulations are being observed all the time.
The priority must be the personnel safety and security of company equipment.
Responsible in managing plant and equipment safety systems and report any malfunctions.

Responsible for starting and stopping engines and observe their functioning
Carry out plant operations, taking periodical readings and report any defect or operational irregularities
Make sure engine surroundings are neat and clean all the time
Checking status of water, oil and fuel in the engine when they are on or off

Form IV from a Technical School
Trade Test from VETA will be an added advantage


POWER STATION CLEANERS – 4 POSTS
Reports To: Shift Supervisor

POSITION OBJECTIVE
Responsible for carrying out all cleaning activities of power house/workshop floor, offices, changing rooms, MV switch gears room, GPRS house, compressors and Air Instrumental units, water treatment & fire units, etc.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Clean charge air filters for EG (i.e. 18 pcs x 12), whenever it is required to do so.
Clean dusts to all auxiliary equipment, & other units in the power house/workshop and around the plant.
Maintain and manage waste containers in good conditions as per instructions given for overall waste management at the collecting Bay.
Ensure that water and oil influents trenches in the power house are not obstructed by any material, and that they are clean all the time.
Maintain storm water trenches clean around the Power Plant.
Manage cleaning materials and keep in order the company properties.
Assist plant attendants on duty to fill lube. oil in case o f oil change and oil top up on Engine Generating sets oil sumps and pedestal bearings.
And other related duties.

SWITCH BOARD OPERATORS - 3 POSTS
Reports to: Station Supervisor

POSITION OBJECTIVE
Responsible for proper safe, efficient and economical operations of the plant
Principal Accountabilities
Ensure company security and safety regulations are observed during operations and switching procedures of station equipment
Responsible in restore the system in the shortest possible time during system plant fault/outages in order to minimum outages
Responsible in reporting to respective maintenance department any improper operation.
Responsible in preparation and submission in time weekly and monthly reports on the accuracy of time and accurate generation statistics.
To carry out Visual inspections of equipments.

POSITION OBJECTIVE
Primarily responsible for supervising the proper maintenance of equipment at the plant to ensure safe and optimal availability of the plant. These include and not limited to electrical & control systems, power generation and distribution systems, internal AC power distribution system, uninterruptible Power supply (UPS) and DC systems, grounding and protection, gas turbine generator control system, BOP Control, substation protection and automation systems, fire & gas detection and alarm systems, communication, black start unit and plant lighting.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, execute, control and review maintenance programs of related installations the focus of which shall be to optimize contribution of the plant units to the grid system under operating conditions.
Prepare and submission of accurate daily/monthly/quarterly/annual reports on maintenance activities.
Prepare spare parts requirements for equipment and electrical & protection systems for the plant.
Ensure company safety rules and regulations are adhered to at all times when carrying out maintenance and priority shall be on the safety of personnel and company equipment.
Ensure maintenance of mutual trust and harmony in the work place
Assist in preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and ensure that they are always submitted on time.

Execute properly preventive maintenance of Mechanical/Electrical equipment in a planned time to ensure emergence break downs are avoided.
Respond promptly to emergence calls during emergence break downs to ensure restoration of fault equipment within minimum time possible.
Observe safety regulations and working procedures to ensure no accidents to people and equipment.
Keep maintenance records, equipment status updating and submit work reports after repairs or preventive maintenances.

Reports to: Mechanical Technician

POSITION OBJECTIVE
Maintenance of plant machinery to ensure smooth running of all plant machinery and equipment at the station by adhering to Plant preventive maintenance schedule.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
To repair all plant machinery under the directives from the mechanical technician
Fabrication of all metal equipments and tools required for effective machinery operations
Report to the Mechanical Technician any defects on the plant machinery for the purpose of securing the components, spares and accessories necessary for your accomplishment of your daily duties.
Execute all your daily works as scheduled and report all your accomplished works to the mechanical Technician.

Key Knowledge, Experience and Skills you must possess:
Form IV or VI secondary certificate.
Holder of Trade Test Grade One in fitter mechanics.

Install, repair and maintain plumbing systems and components to all building at the Plant
Maintain all building codes, installation requirements and relevant legislation

Assist in preparation of budget estimate for plumbing works

Schedule work in cooperation with other trades and suppliers
